Eggnog stains
Eggnog consist out of eggs, milk, cream, sugar and alcohol. It is a tasty milk-based beverage. Stains made by eggnog are easy to remove. This tip explains in a few steps how eggnog stains can be removed.
Remove as much eggnog as possible. The best way to do this is with a knife or a spoon. Scrape away as much as possible and make sure not to damage the clothing.
Wash the clothes by hand in lukewarm soapy water with detergent. Most of the stain will be removed this way.
Older stains can be a bit harder to remove. If stains are left after washing the clothing by hand, stronger means have to be used. Alcohol or perchloroethylene ( "PERC") works very well for removing persistent stains. Apply it on a clean cloth and dab the stain. Afterwards rinse with warm water.
Wash the clothing in the machine as usual.
